As a new or existing customer choosing an iPhone 4, you'll need to use a new micro sim.
Just answer the question(s) below & follow the simple step by step guide on how to swap from a standard sim to a micro sim.
New Customers to O2
Buy your new iPhone 4 from O2 (on sale from 24 June). You'll get a micro sim when you buy iPhone 4 in the shop, right on the spot.
If you order iPhone 4 through customer service (or online, when it's available), your micro sim will come with your iPhone 4.
If you have pre-ordered iPhone 4 directly from Apple you can get an O2 micro sim from any O2 shop. Simply go to an O2 shop any time from Monday 21 June and sign up for the Simplicity for iPhone tariff. Make sure you tell the shop that your tariff is for iPhone 4 and they'll set you up with a micro sim.

Install latest version of iTunes on your PC or Mac.
Remove the outer plastic portions from your micro sim and insert into your iPhone 4.

Connect your new iPhone 4 to your PC or Mac and follow the iTunes activation process.
If you've arranged to transfer your existing number from another network, this will happen up to five days from when you give us your PAC code.
I'm an existing customer and I've received a micro sim. I want to get ahead of the game and swap my sim before I buy my iPhone 4.
Write down the sim serial number (SSN) that's printed on your micro sim. It's a 19 digit number starting with 894411. You'll need this later.
Backup your existing phone and any contacts you may have on your current sim.
When you're ready you can activate your new micro sim.

Once you've completed the process to activate your new micro sim in step 3, your old sim will stop working (you'll be unable to make or receive calls). This should happen within 24 hours.
Once your old sim stops working, remove it from your phone. Then carefully remove the standard sim from the new micro sim carrier card and insert it into your existing phone.

If your existing phone is an iPhone then you may need to connect it to iTunes and reactivate.
When you buy an iPhone 4 from O2 you can take your micro sim out of your existing phone, remove the micro sim from within the standard sim and insert it into your new iPhone 4.

If you order your iPhone 4 from our web shop or over the phone, there will be a micro sim in the pack with your new phone. If you've already swapped to a micro sim please ignore this sim & recycle it instead.

Sim swap for Pay & Go customers
After you're up and running with your new micro sim, it's a good idea to check your iPhone 4 data (APN) settings to make sure things like connecting to the internet work.
