micro sim
You may have heard that iPhone 4 uses a micro sim, which is a smaller version of a standard sim. If you want to upgrade to iPhone 4 you'll need to use this new micro sim instead of the sim you use now.
There are two ways to get a micro sim. If you've registered to receive iPhone 4 updates from O2, you may receive a micro sim from us in the post before iPhone 4 is available. We can't guarantee that everyone who registers for iPhone 4 updates will get a micro sim, so if you don't get one in the post, don't worry. If you decide to buy iPhone 4, you will get your micro sim at the same time as your iPhone 4.
What does it look like?

The standard sim can be snapped out as usual and used in your existing phone.
Once you've removed both of the outside plastic portions, your micro sim is ready to go into your iPhone 4.
So what happens next?
Watch out for our next update, when we will walk you through how to swap your sim.

Revert my micro sim
If you need to put your micro sim back into a phone that uses a standard sim, you'll need an adaptor. It's a little black case that the micro sim fits into and is put into the phone sim slot as normal.
And remember, you only need to pop out the micro sim when you get iPhone 4.
